P680,000 ‘shabu’ seized from 2 suspects in Olongapo

At least 10 people were arrested after police carried out a series of anti-narcotics operations in this city, authorities said Monday, Dec 12.

OLONGAPO CITY — Two drug suspects were arrested in this city after they yielded close to P700,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) during an anti-narcotics operation, police said on Tuesday, March 12.

The investigators said the suspects were tagged as “notorious high-value” targets who have been peddling illegal drugs in the city.

The two were caught Monday in possession of 100 grams of shabu valued at P680,000 during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Sta. Rita.

One of the suspects was identified by his alias “Amang,” while his cohort was not named in the police report.

The two suspects were placed in the custody of the city drug enforcement unit and will be charged with violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Acts of 2002. INQ
