LUCENA CITY — Two women were arrested Tuesday for trying to sneak more than P1.3 million worth of shabu inside the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology facility in Antipolo City, Rizal province.

The Police Region 4A said in a report on Wednesday, March 13, that jail personnel at around 4 p.m. informed the local police anti-narcotics unit that they received a tip that the two women visitors identified as “Saly” and “Kath” were carrying illegal drugs.

When the policemen arrived, they found the visitors already seated at the receiving area of the holding section for male detainees.

The meth weighed 250 grams and is worth about P1,360,000 in the Dangerous Drugs Board valuation.

Police found the suspects to be on their watch list as high-value individuals in the local drug trade.

The report did not identify the detainee who was the supposed recipient of the illegal drug.

The police are conducting further investigation to determine the source of the shabu.
