Bomb threat grips Taguig elementary school

Bomb threats strike various government agencies and local government units on February 12, 2024.

 

MANILA, Philippines — A Taguig City school received a bomb threat on Tuesday, which resulted in the early dismissal of students.

According to the Department of Education (Deped), West Rembo Elementary School received a bomb threat at around 12:38 p.m.

DepEd assured the public that the situation is already under control with Philippine National Police (PNP) K9 units already deployed in the area.

The PNP has yet to release details regarding the incident as of posting time.

The bomb scare in West Rembo came after a string of similar threats hit several government agencies just the day before.

DepEd’s division office in Bataan suspended classes in several schools in the province due to the a bomb threat, along with several schools in Zambales.

Other agencies hit by bomb threats were the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Department of Environment and Natural Resources’ Philippine Council for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development.
