LEGAZPI CITY, Albay, Philippines — Authorities arrested two suspected drug suspects and recovered more than P3.2 million worth of shabu (crystal meth) in separate operations on Monday, Feb. 5, in Albay and Masbate.

In a belated report on Tuesday, Feb. 6, Lieutenant Colonel Maria Luisa Calubaquib, spokesperson of Bicol Police Regional Office, said in a report that a 15-year-old boy was arrested in a buy-bust operation at 11:50 p.m. in Barangay Lidong in Sto. Domingo town, Albay.

Calubaquib said they confiscated 415 grams of shabu worth P2,822,000 from the boy, who was turned over to the Department of Social Welfare and Development for proper disposition.

In Masbate province, a casual employee of Mandaon town, identified as “Fed,” was arrested at 4:25 a.m. after he was served a search warrant at his residence in Barangay Poblacion.

Anti-narcotics team recovered 56 grams of suspected shabu worth P380,800 and three rounds of live ammunition for a caliber .357 gun.

The adult suspect will face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
