2 drug suspects collared in Bicol buy-busts

LEGAZPI CITY — Anti-narcotics operatives arrested two suspected drug personalities and recovered nearly P49,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in separate buy-bust operations on Tuesday, May 9, in the Bicol region.
Colonel Julius Caesar Domingo, Camarines Sur police chief, said Melvin Abayon, 37, was arrested around 8:30 p.m. in Barangay Sagrada in Baao town.
Authorities recovered five sachets of shabu worth P34,000 and P500 buy-bust money from the suspect tagged as a street-level drug peddler.
In Daraga town in Albay, Arjay Priagola, 28, was arrested around 1:30 p.m. in Barangay Kimantong.
Calubaquib said the authorities recovered two sachets of shabu worth P14,960 from Priagola.
