FEATURED STORIES

It seems like the rest of the teams in the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc.  are now taking their shots at the once-invincible University of Cebu (UC) Webmasters.

The latest to take aim was the Kia Motors-Cebu Institute of Technology-University (CIT-U) Wildcats, who took down the Gaisano Tisa-backed Webmasters, 96-70, in the 6th Cesafi Partner’s Cup yesterday at the Cebu Coliseum.

Kia Motors wasted no time in asserting themselves in the game, leading 27-17, behind the offense of Bridrik Brigoli and Floyd Taboada, who combined for 23 points.

Making matters worse was the personnel problem of Gaisano, which played with just four players in the third canto, leading to a 53-79 deficit heading to the fourth period.

Kia had their biggest lead of the game at 31, 92-61, with less than five minutes remaining in the game, as the Wildcats cruised to their second win in three games.

In contrast, the Webmasters fell to their second setback in three outings.

Brigoli had 18 to lead Kia Motors while Allen Dimco added 17. Newcomer Vincent Menguito showcased his readiness for the regular tournament as he had 16 while old reliable Taboada added 12.
