Tricycle driver dies in Quezon road accident

LUCENA CITY – A tricycle driver died after her vehicle was hit by a tractor head in Sariaya town in Quezon province on Wednesday night, Dec. 27, police said.

Quezon police, in a report Thursday, Dec. 28, said Elma De Guzman, 33, was driving a tricycle when her vehicle was hit by a tractor head traveling behind her and driven by Maxwel Ferrer in Barangay (village) Bignay 1 around 6:45 p.m.

De Guzman died on the spot due to serious injuries. The police said they found no driver’s license on her.

Ferrer was placed under police custody. However, the report said the concerned parties were open to an amicable settlement.
