MANILA, Philippines  — Police are eyeing three “persons of interest” possibly linked to the death of a security guard who was found headless in a parking lot of a service center in Quezon city on Christmas day.

Quezon City Police District Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (QCPD-CIDU) chief Major Don Don Llapitan told INQUIRER.net they already have the names of these individuals.

“Meron na po tayo persons of interest – tatlo or higit pa – pero di pa natin masasabi kung sino sila dahil ongoing pa rin yung investigation,” Llapitan said in a Viber message.

(We already have persons of interest – around three or more – but we cannot reveal their identities because of the ongoing investigation.)

He likewise opted not to say how they were able to spot or identify the persons possibly involved in the killing.

On the morning of December 25, 50-year-old security guard Alfredo Valderama Tabing was found without a head while sitting down in a guard post.

The place was in a parking lot’s entrance in Balintawak, Barangay Apolonio Samson.

No other details were released concerning Tabing’s death, but authorities said his head was not seen in the area.
