DSWD distributes relief goods to fire victims in Masbate

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) said on Monday that it has given relief packs to 11 families in Masbate.

The families were among those affected by a fire on December 24 in Barangay Nursery.

According to the DSWD, the fire was caused by an unattended candle, and left eight families, consisting of 47 individuals homeless.

The victims of the fire received family food packs, hygiene kits, sleeping kits, and kitchen kits.

The DSWD added that the local government of Masbate also gave out food packs to the families.
