THE Gaisano Tisa-University of Cebu Webmasters again essayed solid proof that they can be as successful in the post-Junemar Fajardo era after they downed the San Marino Corned Tuna-University of Southern Philippines Foundation Panthers, 84-73, in the 6th Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (CESAFI) Partner’s Cup, late Thursday night at the Cebu Coliseum.
Showing the grit and heart even without their behemoth center who led them to two straight titles in the Cesafi, the Webmasters of head coach Rhoel Gomez snatched their first win of this tournament behind the coach’s son, Kim Gomez, a seasoned sniper who tallied 17 markers.
Today, the Webmasters aim for their second win as they take on the dangerous Kia Motors-Cebu Institute of Technology-University Wildcats, a team that they share the same record with especially after the latter lost, 94-101 to the league-leading Prime Asia-University of the Visayas Green Lancers last Thursday.
