INDIAN NATIONAL SHOT, HURT

A 39-YEAR-OLD Indian national engaged in a money-lending business was shot and wounded while doing a round of collection in barangay Pajac, Lapu-Lapu City.

Jaswinder Gill Singh was shot twice in the abdomen by a still-unidentified attacker who hurriedly ran after the shooting last Wednesday night.

Police said Singh was shot while he was about to board his motorcycle.

Police said Singh had just collected payments from one of his customers when he was shot.

The victim was brought to the Mactan Doctors’ Hospital.

WOMAN NABBED FOR SHABU

A WOMAN who has been allegedly involved in selling illegal drugs was arrested in barangay Pasil, Cebu City.

Flordelisa Ravina was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by members of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Central Visayas (PDEA-7) last Wednesday afternoon.

The woman’s live-in partner who was her cohort in the illegal drug activity eluded arrest, said PDEA-7.

Ravina allegedly sold two small packets of shabu worth P500 to an asset who posed as buyer during the drug sale at the couple’s house on Flores Street.

The woman’s partner ran to the interior portion of the barangay.

The PDEA-7 said Ravina is a level 2 drug pusher who could sell 50 to 100 grams of shabu worth P300,000 in a week.

Charges for violation of the Republic Act 9165 or the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against Ravina./CORRESPONDENT CHITO O. ARAGON
