BOC launches digital data platform
The Bureau of Customs (BOC) has launched the E-Travel Customs System, a unified digital data collection platform that simplifies passenger experience at airport terminals in the country.
Its key feature is the Electronic Customs Baggage and Currency Declaration interface, formerly part of the BOC’s I-Declare System that was introduced in June last year.
The integration of the Electronic Customs Baggage Declaration Form and Electronic Currencies Declaration Form into the BI’s eTravel System represents a pivotal step in digitizing data collection processes for travelers and crew members arriving in and departing from the Philippines, the bureau said in a statement.
Customs Commissioner Bienvenido Rubio said that the eTravel Customs System will play a pivotal role in ensuring the security of our borders and fostering a seamless travel experience for all. —TINA G. SANTOS
