MANILA, Philippines — The low-pressure area (LPA) last spotted over the coastal waters of Isabela had already dissipated on Wednesday evening, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
However, three weather systems will continue to bring overcast skies with rain over the country.
(Last night, the LPA that we are guarding in the Isabela area was completely dissolved. Currently, we are not monitoring any new LPA or typhoon in the Pacific, especially within our Philippine area of responsibility.)
Pagasa said that cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms may be expected over Batanes, Ilocos Norte, Apayao, Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, and Quezon due to the shear line, or the convergence of cool and warm winds.
Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon, locally known as amihan, will bring cloudy skies with rains to the rest of the Ilocos Region, the rest of the Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Cagayan Valley.
(A reminder to our countrymen that we should continue to be careful because of the rain that may cause flooding or landslides.)
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by localized thunderstorms, the state weather added.
Aurelio said that no gale warning alert is in effect in any part of the country’s seaboards.
