LUCENA CITY — More than P930,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) were seized Tuesday from two arrested drug suspects in Quezon province.
Colonel Ledon Monte, Quezon police chief, said in reports on Wednesday, Oct. 25, that members of the local police drug enforcement unit in this city nabbed a pusher identified as “Owel/Datu” in a buy-bust operation at 4:48 p.m. in Barangay Kanlurang Mayao.
Seized from the suspect were four sachets of meth weighing 20.60 grams worth P140,140 in Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) valuation, Monte said in the report.
The drug haul was worth P420,2407 on the street market at P20,400 per gram, the report added.
Police tagged the suspect as a “high-value individual” in the local drug trade.
In Lopez town, police anti-narcotic agents busted at 5:45 p.m. alias “Dorot,” 61, in Barangay Danlagan.
The suspect, a street-level drug pusher, possessed five sachets of shabu weighing 25 grams with a DDB value of P172,500 and worth P510,000 in the street market.
The police also confiscated a motorcycle without a plate number believed to have been used by the suspect in his illegal drug trade, and a mobile phone.
