A police officer accused of killing another policeman was finally arrested in Rizal province after more than a year in hiding, the Philippine National Police’s antiscalawag unit reported on Wednesday evening.
Former Cpl. Jayvee Rommel Vicencio, 29, was arrested by operatives of the PNP Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group on Oct. 9 in a house in Barangay San Isidro, Rodriguez town.
Vicencio, formerly of the Caloocan City police, was found in possession of a service firearm with an expired registration so he will also be charged with illegal possession of a gun.
