MANILA, Philippines — A fire broke out in a commercial area in Intramuros, Manila on Saturday morning, according to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).
The BFP reported that the blaze started around 8 a.m. on Beaterio St. near Cabildo, just behind the Manila Cathedral.
The fire reached the first alarm at 8:06 a.m., followed by a second alarm one minute later.
The BFP declared the fire under control at 9:01 a.m. With the assistance of 14 firetrucks, the BFP eventually declared a “fire out” at 9:10 a.m.
As of writing, no injuries or fatalities have been reported by the BFP. Further details on the extent of the damage are also yet to be released.
