28 Negrenses pass DOST scholarship exam

TWENTY-EIGHT high school graduates from Negros Oriental passed the scholarship exam of the Department of Science and Technology-Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) for June 2012 school year.

The scholars will receive tuition fee subsidy and other school fees, book allowance and monthly living allowance.

The qualifiers comprised 8.5 percent of the 330 students who took the exam at Negros Oriental State University (Norsu) on Nov. 20, 2011.

The scholarship program covers baccalaureate degree courses in the fields of science, mathematics and engineering.

The scholars will have an orientation seminar on April 30 at 8 a.m. at the DOST-Negros Oriental Provincial Science and Technology Center in Daro, Dumaguete City.
