Cops nab 4 drug pushers in Rizal, Laguna, Cavite, seize P939,000 ‘shabu’
LUCENA CITY — Police anti-narcotics operatives on Saturday, September 30, arrested four alleged big-time drug pushers and seized more than P939,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) in separate operations in Rizal, Laguna, and Cavite provinces.
A report from Police Region 4A on Sunday showed that members of the drug enforcement unit in Antipolo City, Rizal, nabbed Christian Reganit during a buy-bust operation at around 11 p.m. in Barangay Sta. Cruz.
Authorities seized from the suspect one plastic sachet and one knot-tied plastic containing shabu inside a sling bag.
The illegal drugs weighing 93 grams have an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value of P632,400.
In Laguna, anti-illegal drugs agents in Calamba City busted Jonna Amparado at 7:26 p.m. in Barangay Parian.
Amparado yielded five sachets of shabu with an estimated DDB value of P136,000.
Meanwhile, police officers in Tanza town in Cavite arrested William Dela Rosa in Barangay Punta 1 at around 3:20 p.m. also on Saturday.
The suspect was caught during the sting operation with P86,360 worth of shabu as per DDB valuation.
Later at about 7 p.m., the same team of operatives also busted Dagandar Ontawar in Barangay Bucal.
The police confiscated P84,728 worth of shabu from the suspect.
The report tagged Reganit, Dela Rosa and Onmtawar as “HVI” or high-value individuals in the local drug trade while Amparado was listed on the drug watch list as a street-level pusher.
Police were tracking the source of the illegal drugs.
The suspects are under police custody and face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
