Junior high school student yields suspected meth worth over P200k

PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur — Authorities in Guipos town, Zamboanga del Sur are alarmed over the alleged involvement of a 19-year-old junior high school student in selling crystal meth, locally known as shabu.

Police Capt. Dominic Dalena of the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit-IX identified the suspect as John Paul Gonzaga Enderez aka “John-John,” who is a resident of Sitio Quarry of Kagawasan village in nearby Dimataling town.

Enderez was arrested following a drug buy-bust operation on Sunday afternoon in Bag-ong Oroquieta village of Guipos town.

Seized from Enderez were eight medium-sized plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu weighing 40 grams and with an estimated market value of P 272,000.

The suspect is detained at the lock-up cell of Guipos police station while charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being prepared.
