Two motorcyclists die in Batangas road mishap

LUCENA CITY — Two riders died and another one was injured after their motorcycles crashed into one another in Batangas City late Sunday, September 3.

In a report Monday, the Batangas police said Luciano Mahaguay, 31, and Joven Atienza, 36, were driving their respective motorcycles when they accidentally collided with one another along the provincial road in Barangay San Pedro at 9:23 p.m.

Both drivers, including one pillion rider, were thrown off their respective vehicles and hit the pavement.

Mahaguay and Atienza died from serious injuries while being taken to the Batangas Medical Center located in the locality.

Mahaguay’s back-rider, Justine Magtibay, 23, who also sustained injuries, remained confined at the hospital for treatment.

The police said they found no driver’s license from the two dead victims. The registration papers for the two motorcycles were also missing. INQ
