Bongbong Marcos orders reorganization of STAR office
MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ordered the reorganization of the Strategic Action and Response (STAR) office, said the Palace on Friday.
According to Executive Order (EO) No. 38, the STAR Office is now under the Office of the Executive Secretary.
“The Office of the Executive Secretary, through the Office of the Deputy Executive Secretary for General Administration, shall have supervision and control over the STAR Office and all its constituent offices,” the EO stated.
The STAR Office was established to enhance and promote swift government response to the public’s concerns. It had previously been under the Office of the Cabinet Secretary.
An Assistant Secretary will be designated as the Office’s head and will answer to the Deputy Executive Secretary for General Administration (Desga).
Article continues after this advertisement“For this purpose, the Desga, in coordination with the Office of the Deputy Secretary for Finance and Administration, shall submit to the Department of Budget and Management, for review and approval, a revised organizational structure and staffing pattern of the STAR Office,” the EO stated.
