Drug suspect yields P541,000 meth in Antipolo City bust
LUCENA CITY — Police arrested an alleged illegal drug trader late Thursday, Aug. 17, and seized more than P541,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) in Antipolo City, Rizal.
Jerry Bernal was held at 10:41 p.m. by anti-illegal drugs operatives after he sold P3,000 worth of meth to an undercover cop in Barangay Delapaz, the Police Region 4A reported Friday.
Authorities seized two plastic sachets and one knot-tied plastic bag containing meth weighing 79.7 grams with an estimated Dangerous Drug Board value of P541,960.
Police tagged Bernal as one of the street-level drug pushers in the city.
The Antipolo City police were conducting further investigation to determine the source of the illegal drugs.
