CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — The suspected gunman in the attempted murder of the provincial legal officer in Pampanga last April had been arrested, Gov. Dennis Pineda confirmed on Wednesday, Aug. 16.
Pineda said the police in Bataan have informed him of the arrest of one Angelo Perez using the arrest warrant obtained by the Pampanga police after the attempt on the life of lawyer Gerome Tubig on April 17.
Perez was arrested on Aug. 10 in Mariveles town, Bataan. He has been in the custody of the police in Bataan and is scheduled for a hearing in relation to another criminal case.
Pineda said Tubig’s vision had been impaired after a gunshot pierced near his eyes. INQ
