ILOILO CITY — The mayor of this city on Tuesday, Aug. 8, ordered the closure of a bar at an entertainment complex in Mandurriao district after a minor allegedly committed an indecent act early Monday.

The girl, according to reports, was seen to have lifted her shirt and covered her chest using only her hands while dancing before a cheering crowd at around 3 a.m.

Mayor Jerry Treñas said the closure of the bar was only temporary to allow the establishment to explain.

The establishment, along with others from Mandurriao district, signed an affidavit of undertaking on July 30, where they committed to improve and maintain the safety and security standards of the bars.

This city government earlier scrapped a liquor ban from 8 a.m. to midnight due to violent brawls in the district that were reported to the city government.
