Moderate to heavy rains, strong winds affect NCR, nearby areas - Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines — Metro Manila and nearby areas may experience moderate to heavy rain showers on Wednesday afternoon due to localized thunderstorms, reported Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

In its advisory at 12:13 p.m., the state weather bureau said the thunderstorms may also bring lightning and strong winds.

This condition will go on over the next two hours in the following areas:

“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides,” warned Pagasa.

It said localized thunderstorms are weather disturbances that produce thunder and lightning, aside from wind and rain.
