Fire hits houses along PNR tracks in Calamba City
LUCENA CITY — Fire broke out in rows of houses along the Philippine National Railway (PNR) tracks in Calamba City, Laguna on Wednesday night, the police reported on Thursday, July 6.
The Regional Police 4A said in a spot report that the blaze burned down an unspecified number of houses made of light materials and rendered 25 families homeless in Barangay Halang.
The report said the fire started at 9:45 p.m. Firemen assisted by volunteer firefighters helped put off the fire at 11:18 p.m.
No one was hurt in the incident.
The authorities are still conducting investigations to establish the cause of the fire.
