Watch out! High heat expected to scorch Tuguegarao, Metro Manila

MANILA, Philippines – Tuguegarao, Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon will again record high heat as the summer season continues to scorch the country.

In its weather forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that Tuguegarao will register the highest temperature for the day and residents can expect to have temperature lows of 22 degrees and highs of up to 36 degrees.

Metro Manila will record temperature lows of 24 degrees Celsius and highs of up to 35 degrees, Pagasa said adding that skies will be partly cloudy throughout the day.

It that most parts of the country will have partly cloudy to at times cloudy with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening due to the ridge of a high pressure area extending over Luzon.

This, however, will not cool down temperatures.

Subic Bay and Clark Zone area, both in Pampanga, will register temperature lows of 21 degrees and highs of up to 35 degrees.

Tagaytay City will have temperatures between 21 to 30 degrees and will also have partly cloudy skies, Pagasa said.

Legazpi City will have temperatures between 23 degrees to 32 degrees and will experience partly cloudy to at times cloudy with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, Baguio City will remain relatively cooler than the rest of Luzon as it maintains lows of 15 degrees and highs of only up to 27 degrees, the state-run weather bureau said. Skies will also be partly cloudy in the Summer Capital of the Philippines.

On Wednesday, the highest temperature was recorded at 3 p.m. and registered at 34.8 degrees Celsius while minimum temperature was recorded at 22.5 degrees at 6 pm also on Wednesday.
