MANILA, Philippines — Some provincial governments ordered suspending classes in public and private schools on Tuesday, June 13, amid the effects of the southwest monsoon or “habagat.”
According to the state weather bureau, Ilocos Region, Batanes, and Babuyan Islands are hit by monsoon rains.

Below is the list of cities, municipalities, and provinces across the country that have called off classes.
Region I (Ilocos Region)
- Cabugao, Ilocos Sur – preschool to Grade 12 both public and private
- Vigan, Ilocos Sur – all levels both public and private
- Bantay, Ilocos Sur – all levels both public and private
- Catalina, Ilocos Sur – all levels both public and private
- Santiago, Ilocos Sur – all levels both public and private
- Solsona, Ilocos Norte – preschool to Grade 12 both public and private
- Vintar, Ilocos Norte – preschool to elementary both public and private
- Pinili, Ilocos Norte – preschool to Grade 6 both public and private
- Marcos, Ilocos Norte – preschool to Grade 12 both public and private
- Batac City, Ilocos Norte – preschool to Grade 6 both public and private
- Carasi, Ilocos Norte – preschool to Grade 12 both public and private
- Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte – all levels both public and private
- Currimao – preschool to Grade 12 both public and private
- Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte – preschool to Grade 6 both public and private
- Baccara, Ilocos Norte – preschool to Grade 6 both public and private
- San Carlos, Pangasinan – all levels both public and private

- Iba, Zambales – all levels both public and private

Cordillera Administrative Region
- Besao, Mt. Province – preschool to Grade 12 both public and private
- Kibungan, Benguet – preschool (entire municipality) and preschool to Grade 12 (Barangay Madaymen) both public and private
- Atok, Benguet – preschool to Grade 12 both public and private
