MANILA, Philippines — The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) released a list of roads where the agency will once again enforce the No Contact Apprehension Program (NCAP) starting Monday, May 26.

In a public advisory on Saturday, the MMDA said it will be enforcing the NCAP on the following roads:

“The NCAP is the apprehension of those who violate traffic laws based on footage from closed circuit television cameras along the said major roads in Metro Manila,” the MMDA said in a mix of Filipino and English.

“Be disciplined on the road at all times and opportunities. Be careful in driving and follow traffic laws to avoid any violations and penalties,” the agency stressed.

The MMDA’s reimplementation of the NCAP comes after the Supreme Court lifted a temporary restraining order (TRO) against the agency’s enforcement of the program last Tuesday.

The lifting of the TRO was the result of an urgent motion lodged by the MMDA through the Office of the Solicitor General, citing traffic congestion along major thoroughfare and a need to protect road users.
