LUCENA CITY — Police arrested an alleged drug trafficker on their watchlist early Saturday during a buy-bust operation in Batangas City.

The Police Region 4A said in a spot report that members of the city drug enforcement unit busted Jan Brian Blay, 29, at around 2:31 a.m. after he allegedly sold P1,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) to an undercover cop in Barangay (village) Libjo.

Authorities confiscated from the suspect nine sachets of shabu weighing 10 grams with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P69,000 and a mobile phone containing a list of his supposed drug transactions with user clients.

Police tagged Blay as included on the police drug watch list as SLI or “street level individual” on the local drug scene.

He was detained and is facing charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
