Couple yields P172,000 ‘meth’ in Batangas City bust

LUCENA CITY — A husband and wife yielded more than P172,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in a drug buy-bust operation on Friday in Batangas City.
The Batangas police said in a report Saturday, April 29, that members of the city drug enforcement unit collared at 10:08 p.m. Mervin Robiso, 36, and his wife Arvielyn, 34, after they sold P1,000 worth of meth to a poseur buyer in Barangay Wawa.
Authorities seized 11 plastic sachets of shabu with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P172,500 from the suspects, both residents of the village.
The police are conducting further investigation to determine the source and suppliers of the illegal drugs.
The suspects were detained and are facing charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
