Comelec: Deadline for party-list applications for 2025 polls on Dec. 29

MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Wednesday reminded political parties and party-lists of the Dec. 29, 2023 deadline for applications of registrations for the 2025 national and local elections.

According to Comelec, the registration reception is open Mondays to Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., excluding holidays.

“All groups intending to register as a Political Party, a Coalition of Political Parties, or a National, Regional, or Sectoral Group or Organization to Participate in the Party-List System of Representation must ensure strict compliance with the guidelines outlined in Comelec Resolution No. 10673,” said Comelec in a statement.

The said resolution sets guidelines on electronic filing and conducting hearings, investigations, and inquiries via video conference.
