Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos ordered an investigation on the release of service recognition incentive (SRI) to police officers for fiscal year 2022 amid reports that some personnel received less than what they were supposed to get.

Speaking to reporters at the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) main office in Quezon City on Monday afternoon, Abalos said he would also seek guidance from the Department of Budget and Management regarding the policies on the payout of the incentive.
