LUCENA CITY — A 48-year-old motorcyclist was shot and killed in another ambush on Wednesday, May 10, along the Maharlika Highway in this city.
A police report on the Lucena city killing said Dennis Amat was traveling at 7 a.m. aboard his motorcycle after bringing a child to school when the still-unidentified assailant shot him with a handgun in Barangay Isabang.
The gunman fled toward Sariaya town on a black motorcycle after the shooting and left his target dead on the spot.
In a phone interview, Police Corporal Raymond Rodriguez, the case investigator, said Amat had no criminal record on their file.
The police are conducting further investigation to unmask the gunman and establish the motive behind this recent Lucena city killing.
On Tuesday morning, a tricycle driver and his 12-year-old daughter were shot and killed in an ambush in this city perpetrated by a motorcycle-riding gunman.
