Ex-drug convict gunned down in Lucena City

LUCENA CITY — A former drug convict in this city was shot and killed before midnight on Sunday by motorcycle-riding men.

In a report, the Quezon police identified the fatality as Randy Baldonado, 33, who was driving his tricycle along the Maharlika Highway in Barangay Ibabang Dupay, when the still unidentified assailant aboard a pink motorcycle driven by his cohort repeatedly shot him at 11:45 p.m.

The killer sped off after the shooting and left Baldonado dead inside his tricycle.

The police were conducting further investigation to identify the killer.

The report said the victim was previously convicted of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 but did not provide further details.

He was released from prison on Dec. 16, 2022. INQ
