3 girls drown in Isabela’s Magat River
CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela — Three girls died after they drowned while swimming early Monday, May 1, in the Magat River in Aurora town, Isabela province.
Lieutenant Rogie Telan, Aurora police chief, identified the fatalities as Devine Racraquin, 14; Ethel Racraquin, 17, and Faith Joy Cabanilla, 16, all of Barangay Arellano, Quezon town, in this province.
Telan said the strong current swept the three girls into a deep portion of the river, causing them to drown.
Their bodies were retrieved by the police and rescuers. INQ
