LEGAZPI CITY — Authorities arrested four suspected drug personalities and recovered more than P80,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in separate operations on Tuesday in Albay and Camarines Sur provinces, reports said on Wednesday, April 19.

In Camarines Sur, Rey Alegre, 30, was arrested at 6:20 p.m. for selling P500 worth of shabu in Barangay Peñafrancia in Naga City.

Senior Master Sergeant Tobias Bongon, Naga City police spokesperson, said 1.5 grams of shabu worth P10,200 was confiscated from the suspect.

In Barangay Pacol, also in Naga, Chan Carlo Babul, 19, was arrested for selling a sachet of shabu worth P500. During the body search, authorities recovered five more sachets of shabu worth P2,550.

In Iriga City, Richard Colarina, 44, was arrested at 12:05 a.m. in a search operation in Barangay San Agustin.

Lieutenant Colonel Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson, said Colarina was tagged as a high-value drug personality.

Recovered from his residence were five sachets of shabu.

In Albay province, Leonardo Napoles, 64, also tagged as a high-value individual, was arrested in a buy-bust operation at 4:15 p.m. in Barangay San Rafael.

Confiscated during the operation was a sachet or 10 grams of shabu worth P68,000.

The suspects were charged for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
