P340,000 shabu seized from suspect in Antipolo City drug bust

LUCENA CITY – Police arrested an alleged “high-value” target in the government’s illegal drug war and confiscated P340,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in a buy-bust operation in Antipolo City, Rizal on Monday, April 17.

The Region 4A police said in a report Tuesday, April 18, that a team of anti-narcotics operatives collared Julius Joy Molina at around 9:37 p.m. after he allegedly sold P1,000 worth of shabu to a poseur buyer in Barangay (village) Cupang.

Authorities seized from the suspect 11 plastic sachets of shabu weighing a total of 50 grams with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P340,000.

The police are conducting further investigation to track down the suspect’s supplier of illegal drugs.

The suspect was detained and will face criminal charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
