The rebel returnees turned over a caliber 5.56 improvised pistol, a rifle grenade, and an improvised shotgun.

“The continuous surrender of active and former members of communist terrorist groups and the withdrawal of support of their allies leave a big impact on our campaign against local armed conflict,” said PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr.

He added: “It only goes to show that we are serious in our campaign, and it is also high time for them to return to the folds of the law.”
