Delivery rider swept by flood found dead in Camarines Sur

A delivery rider who was swept away by floodwaters in Buhi town was found dead in Iriga City

LEGAZPI CITY — A delivery rider swept away by floodwaters in Buhi town was found dead in Iriga City in Camarines Sur on Thursday morning.

Iriga City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office said in a report that Rommel Tomenio, 28, was found in Barangay (village) Del Rosario Banao at around 10:30 a.m.

Buhi police earlier reported that while the victim was driving his motorcycle, he was carried away by the current while crossing the spillway at Zone 1 in Barangay San Jose Salay at around 7:20 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12.

Authorities immediately launched a search operation after the incident.
