CURRIMAO, Ilocos Norte — A 34-year-old man died on Monday, April 10, after he slammed into a parked car while driving his motorcycle at Valdez village in Marcos town in this province, police said.

In a report, investigators identified the victim as Arthur Corrales Agliday from Banna town.

The police said Corrales failed to notice the parked 10-wheeler Isuzu truck when he tried to overtake another vehicle at 5:40 a.m.

The truck, owned by Rafael Agustin Sarandi of Cagayan province, had its hazard lights on when it was parked on a roadside during the accident, investigators said.

Responding authorities were able to bring the victim to a hospital, but he was declared dead while being treated. INQ
