Magnitude 4.1 earthquake rocks Zamboanga Del Sur town
MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.1 earthquake struck Dumingag town in Zamboanga del Sur on Thursday noon, state seismologists said.
The tectonic tremor, with a shallow depth of 15 kilometers, occurred 10 kilometers southeast of the town at around 12:04 pm, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
Phivolcs said it is unlikely to cause damage and aftershocks.
No felt intensities were reported to Phivolcs.
