The PCG rescues two senior citizens from a capsized boat off Pagadian City

MANILA, Philippines — Two elderly individuals were rescued from a boat that capsized off Pagadian City in Zamboanga del Sur, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) said.

PCG’s search and rescue team on Monday saved the two Barangay Bulanit residents, identified as Victoria Baylosis, 65; and Minggoy Dipanaga, 60, from danger after big waves knocked down their small boat.

“According to the rescued individuals, they departed Barangay Santiago en route to Barangay Bulanit onboard a banca that capsized due to big waves,” the PCG said in a statement on Tuesday.
