MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga — A man was arrested in Moncada town, Tarlac province, for alleged possession of unlicensed guns and bullets, police said on Monday, April 3.
The Tarlac police identified the arrested suspect as Ricardo Tigno of Moncada’s San Leon village.
Carrying a search warrant against loose firearms issued by Paniqui Regional Trial Court Branch 105 Judge Luis Circe Velasquez, police went to Tigno’s residence on April 1 and allegedly found a pistol, a rifle, and live bullets there.
Lieutenant Colonel Samuel Fernandez, chief of the Tarlac police intelligence unit, said they confiscated a .45 Colt pistol with two magazines, 45 live bullets, and a homemade air rifle “converted” into a firearm that could use caliber .22 bullets.
Tigno faces charges of violating the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act. INQ
