2 held for illegal sale, possession of guns in Tarlac
MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga––Two men were arrested in separate police operations against loose firearms in Tarlac province, authorities said Friday, July 2.
Col. Renante Cabico, Tarlac police director, said one of the suspects, identified as Larry Jordan, 25, was arrested in an entrapment operation Wednesday at Barangay Tibagan, Tarlac City.
Cabico said an undercover policeman pretended to buy a .38-caliber revolver from the suspect and the latter’s cohort for P9,000.
After the exchange of a gun and money, the policemen arrested Jordan, while his companion, Jeremy Bamwan, escaped.
Seized from the suspect were an Armscor .38-caliber revolver without a serial number and the marked money used in the sting operation.
On Thursday, policemen arrested Ernie Pablo, 39, in Barangay Poblacion, Santa Ignacia town for illegal possession of firearms.
