2 brothers nabbed in Quezon drug bust
LUCENA CITY — Police anti-narcotics operatives arrested two brothers, both ex-drug convicts, in a buy-bust operation on Tuesday, in Lopez, Quezon.
Quezon police chief, Colonel Ledon Monte, said in a report Wednesday, March 29, that local drug enforcers collared Ray Aldrin Valeño, 39, and his elder brother Rex Adrian, 40, at around 11:30 p.m. after they sold shabu (crystal meth) to a poseur buyer in Barangay Danlagan.
The siblings, both identified drug pushers in the locality, yielded three sachets of meth with a street value of P18,360.
The police said the brothers were previously convicted on drug charges but did not state why and when they were freed.
Lieutenant Colonel Erickson Roranes, Lucena City police chief, also reported the arrest of a former drug convict and his partner in a sting operation Tuesday in Barangay Cotta.
Harold Alagaban and Erldan Dela Cruz were found in possession of P31,824 worth of meth.
The report tagged Alagaban as a former drug convict but did not state why and when he was freed.
The suspects were back in jail and face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
