LUCENA CITY — Anti-illegal drug operatives seized on Friday and Saturday more than P2 million worth of marijuana and shabu (crystal meth) from nine suspected traffickers in Laguna, Rizal, and Cavite provinces.
Police in Angono, Rizal collared Shan and Ricky, both surnamed Castor, and Rose Cortez, at 10:20 p.m. on Friday, March 24, after they sold P2,000 worth of marijuana leaves or “weeds” to a poseur buyer in Barangay Maharang, the Region 4A cops reported Saturday.
Seized were three digital weighing scales and 12.1 kilos of marijuana worth about P1,500,000 from the suspects, classified as “high-value” targets in the government’s anti-illegal drug campaign.
In Calamba City, Laguna, local drug enforcers busted Norman Emerenciana in a sting operation at 4:51 p.m. on Friday in Barangay 3.
The suspect, also tagged as a “high-value” target, yielded 52 grams of shabu worth about P353,600.
Police in Sta. Rosa City, Laguna also arrested Victorson Dennis Belsa in another buy-bust operation at 7:53 p.m. on Friday in Barangay Macabling.
The suspect, known as a street-level drug pusher, yielded P68,000 worth of meth.
Meanwhile, Bacoor City anti-narcotics policemen nabbed around 1:30 a.m. Saturday Paisah Ameno, Minsoary Macabato, Liza Aducayen, and Benjamin Cadiz in Barangay Zapote 1.
The suspects, all identified drug pushers in the city, were found in possession of nine sachets of shabu worth P102,000.
All arrested suspects were detained and will be charged with violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
