MANILA, Philippines – Neophyte lawmaker Ilocos Norte 1st District Representative Sandro Marcos has topped anew a survey on the job performance of legislators in the Ilocos region.

In a survey conducted by the RP-Mission and Development Foundation Inc. (RPMD) between February 25 and March 8, 2023, Marcos received a job performance rating of 95.8%, which is statistically tied with Ilocos Sur 2nd District Rep. Kristine Singson-Meehan’s 95.6%, followed by Pangasinan 2nd District Rep. Baby Arenas (88.3%) and Pangasinan 4th District Rep. Toff de Venecia (88.1%).

Marcos’ rating is a further improvement of his 93% rating in the RPMD survey from November 27 to December 2, 2022, which he also topped.

A first-time congressman and Senior Deputy Majority Leader of the House, Marcos has already filed 82 bills and resolutions as principal author and has co-authored 52 more.

Marcos is among the principal authors of the SIM Registration Act, the first law signed by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

He is also a principal author of the proposed E-Governance Law, Internet Transactions Act, the Government Financial Institutions (GFIs) Unified Initiatives to Distressed Enterprises for Economic Recovery (GUIDE) Act, the Free Legal Assistance for Military and Uniformed Personnel Act, among others.
