MANILA, Philippines – Police arrested a woman in Cagayan de Oro City on Sunday after their search of her house, with a warrant, yielded some P340,000 worth of crystal meth, locally known as shabu.

Irene Pepito Aratia, 35, was arrested in Purok 5, Emerald Street Gusa when she was found to have 24 sachets of crystal meth, weighing 50 grams and estimated to be worth P340,000, according to a report issued on Wednesday by the Northern Mindanao Police Regional Office.

Also seized from the suspect were a bamboo stick sealer, a bundle of empty plastic sachets, a glass water pipe, two disposable lighters with improvised needles, some foil, a tooter, and a stew scooper.

Police said complaints for violating the Comprehensive Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against Aratia.
