MANILA, Philippines — The suspect in the 2018 killing of Trece Martires City vice mayor Alexander Lubigan in Cavite province has been arrested, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said Wednesday.

Police said Ariel Fletchetro Paiton, also known as “Dagul and Labuyo,” was finally cornered on March 10 in Barangay Sta. Ana, Antipolo in Rizal province after five years of hiding. His arrest was the result of months-long surveillance.
